Welcome to GoVeloox! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GoVeloox mobile application, website, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using our Platform, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About GoVeloox
GoVeloox is a technology platform that connects customers who need intracity deliveries with independent riders (“Riders”). We are not a courier company, but an intermediary that facilitates communication and transactions between customers and riders.
2. User Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
- Provide accurate and complete registration details.
3. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate pickup and drop-off information.
- Ensure items sent comply with our Prohibited Items Policy (e.g., no illegal, dangerous, or restricted goods).
- Pack items securely for safe delivery.
- Pay agreed delivery fees promptly.
4. Rider Responsibilities
As a rider, you agree to:
- Maintain a valid government-issued ID, driver’s license, and vehicle documents.
- Ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and insured.
- Deliver packages safely, on time, and as instructed.
- Respect all road safety and traffic regulations.
- Treat customers with professionalism and respect
5. Prohibited Items
The following items may not be transported via GoVeloox:
- Illegal drugs, weapons, explosives, or hazardous materials.
- Stolen goods or counterfeit items.
- Perishable food without proper packaging.
- Currency, precious metals, or high-value jewelry.
GoVeloox reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.
6. Payments
- Customers pay Riders via the Platform using supported payment methods, including bank transfers, cards, or wallets.
- GoVeloox may charge service fees for facilitating transactions.
- Riders will receive payouts after deductions (if any) in line with our Rider Payment Policy.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Customers may cancel a request before a Rider accepts it at no cost.
- If a cancellation occurs after a Rider has accepted, cancellation fees may apply.
- Refunds (if applicable) are handled in accordance with GoVeloox’s Refund Policy.
8. Liability & Disclaimers
- GoVeloox does not provide courier services and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or performance of Riders.
- Riders are independent contractors, not employees of GoVeloox.
- GoVeloox is not liable for package loss, theft, damage, or delays beyond our reasonable control.
- Customers are encouraged to use insurance for valuable items.
9. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate user accounts (customer or rider) if:
- These Terms are violated.
- Fraudulent or illegal activities are detected.
- Misuse of the Platform occurs.
10. Data & Privacy
We collect, store, and process your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. By using GoVeloox, you consent to this.
11. Dispute Resolution
- In case of disputes between Customers and Riders, GoVeloox may act as a mediator but is not obliged to resolve all disputes.
- Disputes must first be reported through the in-app support system.
12. Modifications to Terms
GoVeloox may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
